I will discourage any retaliation, as much as possible. Not every community is a good fit for every individual. That's fine. Even despotism, while repugnant to you and me, isn't something I would challenge as long as all of the despot's subjects submit to their whims voluntarily. Of course, that is contrary to the definition of despotism. I will fight for the freedom of others, even sometimes when they oppose me doing so, but I cannot fight every battle. I cannot save everyone, and I have found peace in accepting that fact.
