I am sorry to hear this - I have left you a long discord message upon learning upon this. There should be no backlash - if anyone does any flags or anything, do let me know. One thing that I want you to know is that I hope our relationship does not change, as the actions of the group do not reflect upon me.

I do not condone dictatorship-like behaviour and stand with you on this issue. Due to my role within the group, I will try to refrain from making any biased statements. Communities seek to grow for the benefit of everyone and should value everyone's opinion.

One of the reasons the 'rule' was introduced is that there were several users who simply 'used' the group to dump their links and never engage. Although the rule was put into place to encourage communication and engagement, I can see that it does not necessarily result in so - and we know it too. I have received several comments that are just "good post" where people do not actually read our content. Several groups have tested with this kind of rule, and every community tries to see what is the best strategy for its growth. Being mature and having discussions should be part of the strategy - if people are unhappy, it will lead to disengagement. Again, I am truly sorry that it ended like this, in having you banned.
