No worries :) Muting will only stop you having to see his abuse, but nobody can stop him from downvoting, just like he can't stop people from upvoting your content. He's outvoted, and once he realises he's having the opposite effect to what he wanted and he doesn't get any satisfaction from trolling you in comments he'll probably move on .
Ah yes.. you're right! Kind of like what happens on my facebook account where I have 11k followers, many of which stand behind me wholeheartedly.. whenever a troll jumps on one of my posts.. they tear him/her to shreds which usually causes the troll to leave before I even notice their presence loool.
