Radical Centrism
The 2 party system as it stands allows people to identify with one of the primary psychological concerns going on inside of their own heads and then project their own internal struggle with the other half of the equation onto the rest of the world who identify with the other side of this internal struggle. We only hear those voices which most clearly embody or give voice to the most extreme aspects of each of these positions while the more moderate (and thus more sane) people are left without a voice at all.
The point being that the two party system is based on a false dichotomy. It has us choosing between virtue and justice, but to try to choose between those mutually supporting values ends up destroying both. It is not an either or scenario we are faced with, but a both or neither one.
So what it would mean to be a radical centrist is to choose the dual concern of virtue (of the individual) and justice (of the collective) because we know that we cannot have one without the other. We would be radical in the sense that we do not condone trying to split them up.
The virtuous individual will try to create a just society and the just society will try to cultivate virtuous individuals. It is not a true conflict. It is a deception used to divide and conquer. Keeping the people fighting amongst themselves rather than cooperating in a way that would benefit everyone.
