I can not say I blame you for not going back.
And put it this way, you going there just to show your face and spend a few minutes, has no comparison to them coming over, having a quality holiday, and you getting to spend a week or two with them 24 hours a day if you know what I mean. You get quality time as do they, when they come to you. You just get the hum drum boring same old if you go to them. Just get them to bring a wedding video with them and job done.
