It all starts with a curiosity; The genius of Leonardo da Vinci

This painting by Leonardo, Salvator Mundi is the most expensive work of art in history, in November 2017 it was sold at a crisis auction for 450 million dollars, but the most curious thing is that there are people who think that he did not make it, among other things, because of this detail, the glass sphere that the Christ holds should distort what is behind it, but it does not. And that's not very Leonardo as he liked reflections and distortions.

In fact, he had an obsession with mirrors, reflections and light, he used flat or curved mirrors to see how images were deformed and to observe their reflections, he put objects in water or in the light of dawn just to see how they distorted or how the light was dispersed.

What he did was not just observe the world, he analyzed it as if he wanted to hack human perception, something similar to what video game engines like the Unreal Engine do today, but in the Renaissance and without spending a fortune on graphics cards, but the best thing is that he then drew what he saw, which is why his paintings have real depth and do not seem at all flat as happened to other artists of the time.
