Life begins with a flash of light.

There is a curiosity that starts from the idea that we are born with a spark of light, we are born from a flash of light, they are normally scientific curiosities and many have seen them, it is a video in which you can see, specifically see the moment in which an egg and a sperm come into contact, triggering a flash of light, which is the beginning of the conception and fertilization process.

This destiny of light indicates that the work is fertilized and the creation of a new being begins. Is this what we are seeing true? Is it a recreation, an animation? It's true? Does our birth really begin with a flash of light? The answer is that it is real, although as I said before, it is not news because the discovery and these images are from 2017.

The important thing is where that light comes from, all cells, apparently, emit photons, biophotons, but that is another story, that light that cells emit when they are alive and that turns off when they die, but this is different, this is not biophotons, the cells emit them constantly, although depending on the "mood" of the energy they have they can emit more or less, but this in particular is a single flash, it is when fertilization occurs.

Where does it come from? We know this because there is an investigation from 2017, it is part of the investigation where they discovered that it is due to a chemical process that triggers light. The sperm that is selected, because relatively recently, specific research from the University of Stockholm and Manchester showed that the egg ends up choosing between the sperm that reach it.

So it's not that the winner of the race automatically wins as popularly believed. You have to arrive, obviously, you have to be among the first and there will be millions of sperm that will either be lost or will not arrive in time. But after being one of the first, you have to pass the casting of the egg, once the sperm enters and makes contact with the egg, there is a discharge of energy and a massive release of billions of zinc ions.

These ions bind to small fluorescent molecules inside the egg, which produces a short, bright burst of light, it produces photons, it literally lights up and that burst of light, which is what was seen in the video, the question is, does this mean anything? Does it have a purpose? Because we know that evolution does not do things at random, researchers discovered something quite amazing, they discovered that there are more functions for this light, but at least they discovered one and that is that not all flashes are the same. Some are small sparks, others are described as explosions of light and sometimes the explosions are like fireworks and with lightning.

It is an instant, but it can be very intense, researchers believe that the intensity of the spark indicates the quality of the fertilization of the egg, that is, the greater the flash, the more likely it is that the fertilized egg will develop healthy. We must remember that unfortunately not all fertilized eggs end well and this could be applied to in vitro fertilizations and thus know if the union of the sperm and the egg was successful, it had its spark, its spark of light.
