Then there would be another stronger level, here the microorganisms themselves could come from another planet or come from another star even inside blocks of ice or rocks, on Earth we have discovered microorganisms that survive inside rocks for millions of years, they could have come from Mars, as some claim. Perhaps, in fact, an impact on Mars from an asteroid can much more easily send rocks or ice into space than an impact on Earth, because the gravity of Mars is lower.
So the chances of the Earth receiving material from Mars is much greater than that of Mars receiving material from the Earth. This speculation is based on the difficulty of life emerging, because of how complex algorithmic is the term he uses. The study argues that it is extremely unlikely that a first viable cell was formed spontaneously on the primitive Earth because there are entropic information barriers and elements were missing. If it had been a plan of a civilization with intelligent beings, they would obviously have gone faster, they would have developed a broader plan and yet, what we know about life on Earth is that it was quite boring until quite recently.
