RE: To Stop mass shootings Stop the motivation to kill not the tool of choice.
The war on drugs really should be a war on the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical drugs are a huge part of the many problems society faces. It's incredible how the mainstream media refuses to report on this "coincidence" I think it's a legitimate inquiry too, why does this repeatedly happen with people on these medications should be the question every journalist asks repeatedly till they get a REAL answer! Although mass shootings are nothing new, this phenomena has certainly increased with the mass prescribing of these medications.
On top of that, I live in an area, like many parts of the country now, with a very high rate of heroin use. Many of my close friends got sucked into this vacuum of despair. The thing that pisses me off the most, is 9 out or 10 times and yes unfortunately that's not an exaggerated statistic, I've lost a lot of people around me to this epidemic. In most cases these people used heroin for 10 or 15 years, but suddenly everyone is starting to overdose from the fentanyl that the heroin is being cut with. Again the problem returns to the pharmaceutical industry. Not to mention the amount of junkies that have been created from Doctors who over prescribe pain medication then cut their customers off.
I could go on and on about this subject. The bottom line is the drug war is causing more problems than the drugs themselves and it seems the government is unwilling to go after the true villains which is the pharmaceutical industry and the doctors that over prescribe these pills.
