The first phase of Advait Ashram's history is from 1899 to 1920. We all know that this ashama was started in Mayavati in 1899 and till 1920 this Ashrama was functioning from Mayavati and all the very important publications were brought out from Mayavati but owing to the difficulties of running a publication work from Mayavati later in 1920 it's publication wing was shifted to Kolkata.

For the last 65 years Advaita Ashima's publication wing has been functioning from the building at 5 Dehi Entally Road, Entally, Kolkata, West Bengal 700014 and amazing books have been published in the last 65 years.

Ashrama at Mayabati was founded by captain James Henry Savior and Mrs Charlotte Elizabeth Savior in the 1899. They founded the center to fulfill the wish of their guru the great Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji dedicated the center to the practice of Aditya and Aditya alone.
