RE: Chasing Rainbows

Thanks! For an old bird like me, technology is the ultimate "love / hate" relationship. I remember a time when if you left the house you were just gone. People couild not call you, or even leave messages. They had to try again later. It was anarchy, nobody knew where anyone was... children wailed, mothers wept... Oh, wait, actually it was pretty peaceful. 😁

Oh, yes!! I, too, am an "old bird" and remember those days well. We hired a teenage babysitter and left for the entire day and never knew what happened 'til we got home. Usually, nothing happened. Once there was a severe thunderstorm in our absence and when we got home the babysitter's parents (good friends of ours) were at our house, too, keeping her company. Another time, I remember the babysitter apologetically pointing out a bucket on the porch containing a very bad overflowed diaper and clothing mess which had overwhelmed her completely. That was just fine. Better than seeing a cell phone pic of it while we were at the state fair eating ice cream.

Lol! Indeed! Somehow generation after generation managed to survive without all this tech... My husband says this generation will starve to death if the automatic doors at Wal-Mart quit working...
