Quick spring shawarma with cottage cheese

Ingredients

  • Cherry tomatoes 150–200 g
  • Greens (such as parsley, cilantro,
  • basil, or green onions) 1 bunch
  • Cottage cheese 300–350 g
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt 2-3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (ground) to taste
  • Thin lavash bread 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil 1-2 tablespoons

Preparation

  • Start by cutting the cherry tomatoes into four pieces. Chop up the greens and add any herbs you like, such as parsley, cilantro, or basil, to the mixture.

  • In a bowl, combine the tomatoes and herbs with the cottage cheese. Mix in sour cream or yogurt, then add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Cut the lavash in half. Spread the filling evenly over each piece. Fold the edges toward the center to wrap the filling inside.

  • Pour oil into a skillet and warm it over medium heat. Cook the wraps until they turn golden brown on each side.

  • You can serve the wraps hot with your favorite sides or enjoy them as they are.
