The perfect job of installing coke.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday work, some moments awaken a different lesson in our eyes and that day when I was on my way back to the room, I suddenly saw two Indonesian brothers busy installing coke on our project and at first it seemed like they were installing bricks but when I got closer I realized that they were actually installing coke to straighten the corner joints of the wall and the scene was such a beautiful and attentive reflection of the work that I stood there and enjoyed it for a while and at the end I recorded a short video and many may not know that installing coke is actually one of the foundations of plastering work. When a wall is finished, the bricks may be slightly higher or lower in different places. As a result, if the coke is not installed correctly in advance during plastering, the plaster may become curved. The wall will not look straight and may also crack in the future. That is why the coke installation is called the most important step in the preparation for plastering.

I noticed how much attention they paid to the work of two Indonesian brothers, with a small trident-like trowel in their hands, a headlight with a light on the head, and dust and dirt stains on their bodies. One brother was pulling a thread to keep the line straight, while the other was putting coke. In this way, they were applying mortar evenly to each brick wall. This evenness of coke made plastering easier for the mason. Not only that, but the quality of the work also increased many times. There was fatigue in their eyes, but their dedication to work touched me deeply. In foreign lands, despite much hardship, workers complete their work beautifully. It is impossible to understand without seeing it directly. The walls of our shelter are built with the sweat of each worker, skillfully and honestly. When we live comfortably, the hands of thousands of such hardworking people are hidden behind it.
