My heroine mom
Hello stemians and @recreativesteem I trust we are doing noble
So let's talk about my heroine my mother my hope and my reason for survival
My Heroine Mother
If I’m to talk about the strongest woman I know the most hardworking and selfless human I’ve ever come across I will always talk about my mother. My heroine. This woman didn’t just raise me she built me, shaped me, and gave me the kind of strength that no school could ever teach.
Growing up, I never truly understood how much she was doing for the family. I just knew she was always busy, always tired, always moving. It was like she carried the whole house on her back. Now that I’m older, I look back and wonder how one woman could be everything at once a provider, a carer, a teacher, a hustler and still have a smile on her face.
My mother never waited for a man to do what needed to be done. Even when my dad was around, it was like he wasn’t. Most of the burden fell on her shoulders, and without complaining, she carried it. She did what many would call “men’s jobs” without shame she weeded people’s farms, sold leaves, and did whatever came her way just to put food on the table and send us to school.
There were times we didn’t even have proper food at home. She would go hungry so we could eat. She patched our uniforms, made sure we had books, and encouraged us to study, even with no electricity or food. If you ever saw her on the street or at the market, you’d never know the battles she was silently fighting. She was always smiling, always cheerful.
Before she got a teaching job, life was hard. But she never stopped pushing. She did all those little jobs people looked down on until one day, she finally became a teacher. That day was one of the happiest in our house. It wasn’t a big salary, but it brought peace. Still, she didn’t relax she kept hustling and making sure the family stayed afloat.
My mother saw all of her children through school. Even when it seemed impossible, she found a way. She sold things, borrowed money, gave up her personal comfort just to keep us going. She gave her all and never asked for anything in return. For that, I’ll forever be thankful.
People talk about superheroes, but they forget the real ones are right here mothers who do the impossible every single day without recognition. Women like my mother who don’t wear capes but carry the weight of the world on their backs with grace.
What amazes me most is her strength. Life tried to break her so many times, but she never let it. I’ve seen her cry quietly at night and still wake up the next morning like nothing happened. She showed us that real strength is silent, and real love is action.
She was a mother, a father, a hustler, a prayer warrior, and a leader. No matter how tired she was, she always had time to guide us. She didn’t just raise kids she raised responsible adults. She prepared us for life.
Now when I look at where we are, I know it's her sacrifice that built this foundation. Even now that things are better, she’s still that same simple, hardworking woman. She never asks for much. Just seeing her children do well is enough for her.
Honestly, I don’t know how she did it. How she faced poverty, rejection, and exhaustion and still smiled. She is more than my mother she is my hero, my mentor, my role model. If I become half the person she is, I’ll be proud.
Some people wait until their mothers are no more before appreciating them not me. I want the world to know: my mother is a gem. No amount of words or gifts can repay her. She is priceless.
If you see me standing tall and chasing my dreams, just know there’s a strong woman behind me one who didn’t give up even when life gave her every reason to.
To every mother out there holding it down, I respect you. But to my mother my own heroine I celebrate you every day. Thank you for everything. I love you deeply.
