Actsofkindness : Free health services for the underprivileged
Gampong Blang's sparkling integrated health post
Today is a moment for which we, as a whole village community, should be grateful. A free healthcare program is available at the village hall, specifically for underprivileged residents. This program brings a breath of fresh air and new hope to many families, especially those who previously struggled to access adequate healthcare due to financial constraints or distance.
free health services for toddlers
Since morning, the village hall has been filled with enthusiastic residents. Toddlers were carried by their mothers, pregnant women sat quietly awaiting their turn, and seniors appeared with expectant faces. The lively atmosphere seemed to indicate that concern for health is now closer and more tangible to the village community.
These health services include routine checkups for toddlers, vitamin supplementation, and immunizations for children who need them. Pregnant women receive obstetrical exams and nutritional counseling to maintain the health of both mother and fetus. Meanwhile, seniors receive blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as health counseling to help them maintain their health in old age. All these services are provided free of charge.
the elderly and pregnant women
The community in attendance appeared enthusiastic. Many mothers felt relieved that they didn't have to travel to a community health center or hospital for a simple checkup on their children. The elderly were also grateful, as the attention given made them feel valued and cared for. Many residents also expressed their gratitude for this activity, as health is the primary asset for them to be able to continue their activities and live their daily lives.
This program also demonstrates the village government's commitment, collaborating with the sub-district and medical personnel. The friendly and patient presence of the healthcare workers creates a warm and family-like atmosphere. The smiles and warm greetings from the medical staff enhance the comfort of those who visit.
This activity wasn't just about providing health services, but also served as a platform to strengthen community bonds. Many residents exchanged stories, shared experiences, and offered encouragement. This reflected the spirit of mutual cooperation that has long been a hallmark of village life.
With this free healthcare service, the community hopes that similar activities can be held regularly, ensuring the health of our villagers, especially toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly, remains well-maintained. Everyone returned home happy and grateful, feeling more cared for and, of course, more enthusiastic about the days ahead.
