Conducting Reading Remediation To My Non-Readers Grade 1 Pupils
Dear Diary,
It has been 2 months since the beginning of the school year yet there were some pupils that needs to have remediation in writing and reading. I believe that learning process of a child starts at home and with the cooperation of the parents and teachers.
Since there are pupils who didn't meet the expectations from the two-month class, I have to spend more time on them after class. Usually my schedule of reading and writing remediation from Monday to Wednesday after I took my lunch at 12:30 to 1:30pm. I have to give them my 1 hour break time just to review on them.
Inspite of the sacrifices that I made for the pupils, I think my efforts seems not enough. Their parents are not cooperative in the learning process. They don't have time to review their pupils at home. Some parents didn't mind the learning progress of their children, and this is one of the realities in teaching-learning process.
During the first month of the school year, I have to remediate 9 pupils. But now, after two months I only have 4 pupils need to remediate. Both parents were busy and seems no time for my feedbacking and reviewing their children at home.
This is my struggle in my work. Learning process is much easier when both parents and teachers cooperate in the progress of the children. I have that some of the parents did their part, but I have patience to those who didn't. This is part of my job. I have to give them grades they deserve to have. It doesn't change my passion to change, I still love teaching.
This has been my diary game today, I am inviting @bisdako @natz04 to write your diary game, too.
Truly yours,
