My Youngest Daughter is Now 2 years old

Today, July 17 is my youngest daughter's 2nd birthday. I am always excited for every year's birthday of my daughters. But today, I am a bit sad because we didn't prepare for some financial needs. We allocate money for her birthday but we used it for prior emergency needs.

We think of a better celebration that we can celebrate her birthday. We thought of a family celebration only. And we think, this is better than anything else.

My sister brought a cake, a special round cake with magic candles. My daughter really loves cake especially the icing, so she was surprised when she saw the cake. Together with the cake, she bought 1 liter of ice cream.

When my sister came from work, she had a little photoshoot of my daughters using her iphone camera phone. She just captured this priceless moments when I saw how sweet the big sister to her small sister. This is priceless memories.

Then we prayed for the food. We eat dinner together. My husband bought 1 grilled chicken and 1 cut of pork liempo. I ordered 1 Jollibee spaghetti pan for all. We celebrated the birthday simple but with the special people around us, my husband and kids, my mother and aunt, also my sister. Later on my 3 cousins came with their parents. I am very happy because God blessed the food that all of us became full and still more food left.

As for my expenses, you will never believed. I only had 1,000 pesos or approximately 125 STEEMS for this little family dinner. Now I have just realized that it was not in money that makes a celebration special, but it is in our gratitude and contentment.
