ELEVATING THE PROFESSION

Teaching is said to be the noblest profession. It is not just a job but a calling that requires dedicaton, patience and you need to have a passion in nurturing young minds. In my family, teaching already runs our blood. Most of my aunties and uncles were teachers. In fact, our newest District 1 supervisor is my uncle, the brother of my mother. I also had auties who were principals in certain districts. Some of my cousins were also teachers. My 2 other sister is also a teacher but the other one is not yet practicing her profession since she tried her destiny abroad.

Teaching is not a joke, because you are helping young minds to have a bright future. So, in order for us to remain effective and motivated, continuous progressional growth is a need. That is the reason why we had seminars. And in order for us to stay motivated, we should also feel that we were cared by the DepEd and we can be promoted.
This is why Expanded Career Progression Training for Public School Teachers Comes in. It is a program to help the teachers elevate the profession and there were wider opportunities were opened for career advancement and skill development.

The said training, aims to provide the teachers the tools and requirements they needed so they will be promoted. For us Public School Teachers, the training is not just about promotion but it is a chance for us to empower ourself. It will help us to be more confident, help us sharpens our skills and strengthen our social skills.
The program was held in every school and our principal were the speakers. It is a 2-day training. We started at 8 in the morning and ended at 5 in the afternoon. After the training we had a short meeting.
