FIRE HITS CASANTA COMMUNITY

One dawn in Casanta Road here in Lapu-Lapu City suddenly changed into a most horrifying fire incident. Because of the sad tragedy, 7 houses burned into pieces and 7 families has lost their home. The fire has started with a small fire and then became big at exactly 2 in the morning while the residents where sleeping so soundly. The horrifying incident caused the damage of so many properties. This tragedy tells us that our life will change even just a minute especially when we were encountering this type of incident.

According to the news, the fire started from a house experiencing an electricity problem. Because of the strong wind, and so close houses, the fire scattered fast causing only few things were saved.

In just a wink of an eye, a happy home became smoke and got burned. Though everyone was safe but they lost so much and was able to save a little important things.

The firemen hurriedly respond to help stop the fire but it was already too late.

Because the incident, government agencies have extended their help by providing their necessities like goods, clothings and the likes especially the temporary housing. Non-government org and some individuals also extended their help and gave some donations. While recovery may take time, the support given to the Casanta residents made the victims strength to begin rebuilding their lives.

One of the victims is my student. I felt so sad of what had happened so I asked the school to extend some help. So, their were teachers who extended their help and gave some financial help and some old stuff to help them start.

In the end, the story of Casanta is not just about loss of everything but it also taught us to be prepared at all times and to help.
