Yes I have my grandmother. My grandmother love me more then anything. She is always waiting for me when I go to her home. I remember her smile, it is like peace in my heart. She never make me feel alone, she always try to listen my stories even story is silly. She is kind and soft spoken, never shouted at me. Sometimes she tell me small advices but in loving way. I am very lucky because she is like my best friend. She lives not with in our home but her memories live with me. Her advice guide me everyday. I really miss her loving hug.

◉ What is the most iconic phrase your grandmother has ever said to you?

The most famous lines she always tell me is Patience always win in the end.
Never give up before trying, always try.
She repeats it again and again when I was small and cry on little things. At that time I not understand too much what she mean, but later I realize how deep it was. She believe that if we stay calm and trust Allah, good things come to us. Whenever I fail in school or get sad, she hold my hand and say first same line. Even today I hear her voice inside me repeating it. This phrases become like a light in my life. It help me to stay strong in hard time and never lose hope.

◉Grandmothers love to pamper their grandchildren with their recipes. What food do you delight yourself with?

My grandmother is amazing cook. She never use too much fancy things but her food taste was always special. The dish I love most is her Chicken Biryani. The smell go all around the house and everyone sit fast on dining. She always serve me first, put extra piece of chicken in my plate and smile. For me that taste was not only food, it is love and care. Even simple lentils she make better than hotel food. Till today no restaurant can match that feeling. Sometimes when I try to cook same recipe, I fail but I feel her presence in my heart. That memory is forever treasure for me.

Yes, my mother inherit her cooking and seasoning. She learn directly from my grandmother, all secret tips and small methods. When my mother cook, same smell comes in kitchen like old days. Sometimes I close my eyes and it feel my grandmother is with me. My brothers and sisters also say same thing, that taste remind us of him. It become like family gift passed to next generation. When guest eat our food, they also say it has different touch, very homely and full of love. I think that is real inheritance, not only money but taste and tradition. Through my mother, my grandmother lives with us in every meal we share together.
