I Love 💖 You Steem Pong

Sometimes small things in life give us real happiness. One of that small thing for me was playing Steem Pong. It is a retro game on Steem platform and it remind me of old childhood days when we used to play simple games on small devices.

At first look the game looks very easy. You only do to control to paddle and hit the bouncing ball. But when I play, I realise this is not simple. The ball move fast, sometimes in tricky angles and only one small mistake can finish your game. That moment when the ball slip away and hit the bottom, the screen shows Game Over and it feel like all my effort gone in one second.

In my last try I manage to score 196 points. It may not look big score, but for me it was a proud moment. Every hit I was doing with the paddle was giving me a kind of joy, like yes, I am still in the game. My heart beat was going fast when the score was increasing. Sometimes I feel my hands are also shaking little because I was so focus to not lose the ball.

What I like about this game is the mix of easy and hard. Easy because anyone can understand in few seconds how to play it. Hard because to survive long you need strong focus and quick reflex. This combination make it very addictive. Every time I lose, I say to myself, ok just one more try, I will beat my score now. And this one more try keep going again and again.

The game also teach me some small lessons. It tell me that in life, sometimes small distraction can cause big loss. Like when my attention break for even one second, the ball slip and game over. Same like in life, we need focus to reach our goals. But the best part of Steem Pong is the feeling of joy it gives. It is not only a game, it is like a stress relief. For those minutes when I was playing, I forget everything else. Only me, the paddle and the ball. Nothing else matter. And when I lose, yes it hurt a bit, but then it also give me a reason to try again.

When I saw Game Over, Score: 196 on my screen, I smile. I was not sad, because I know next time I can do better. This is the beauty of simple retro games. They don’t need heavy graphics, don’t need long story. Just simple gameplay but full of emotions. I really feel thankful to Steem Retro Games for making this. It connect us with old memories and also give new moments of fun. I think everyone who love classic style games should try Steem Pong at least once. It may look small thing, but when you play, you will feel same excitement like I felt.
