Flowers and mushrooms on a very early morning walk
One lovely morning, I and my wife woke up early for a walk and all of a sudden, Laling woke up too and so we decided to take her with us. This was a very special morning because we get to experience a new environment with wide surroundings, unlike in our home that we only see the neighbor's house and property.
That night, I and my family went to my godmother's house and we slept on her kubo, it was my godmother's make shift guest room if she ever have visitors and in this case, us. She had to leave her home to attend on her son's graduation ceremony at Manila and had to ask someone to feed her dogs, ducks and other animals.. It was so tiny that my daughters slept on the bed and I, my wife and son on the floor, but of course with the beddings on. We could barely move but since it's a new place to stay, we still enjoyed our stay, A little sacrifice has to be made, of course but at least we got to experience sleeping on our dream home. WE usually see the kind of kubo being sold along the highway but we could not afford to buy one because it was very expensive.
It was a weekday and so we had to wake up early, my eldest daughter had to go to school at 6 so she could get home by 12, then another set of students will have class from 12 to 6 in the evening. We wke up at 5 am so we still had lots of time to spare to walk around.
The real purpose of our early morning walk was to find a fallen durian on the field the night before, the kids love durian and could finish a whole flesh of a huge fruit but unfortunately, we did not find a fallen fruit the same morning, Laling was a bit disappointed but she understood that such is life, and we could not always get what we wanted
It was still very early and so we took our time walking, it was just a short walk but there are many things that made us stop and appreciate nature's beauty around.
First of, the winter melon flowers that made my child feel more pretty as she put it in her ear
Then this fire tree than bloomed even if it was still too small to be called a tree

The corn field was just near and so I inspected the plants a bit and found these mushrooms lying on the soil, probably because of the rain from the night before. We call this ohong, perfect when made into soup or adobo or even grilled. It like it because it tastes like meat, but much healthier of course.
Now we had free breakfast viand and took spinach and brought it home.
Soon the wife woke the two sleeping kids and we went home for them to go to school.
Slow mornings are the best and no one could argue in that. I and my wife are really looking forward to that one day that is why we are working very hard right now. I just hope that God will always bless us and guide us thru out this life's journey.
