My Eldest daughter in Pencil Art

So I was new to sketching and I was very confident in my newly acquired skill. I'm just kidding but I really love sketching; I used to watch my older sister do it back when I was small and I really envy her skill. I honestly tried doing the same but my work was very bad that I had to give up until 3rd year in high school. It was in mathematics subject when we were asked to draw something which is from small picture ans we would draw it on a full sized bond paper.

There were many classmates who were very good at sketching and mine juts passed as a requirement; I was not even happy with my work but on t hat activity, my interest in drawing has awaken. Yet that was only until there because no one could guide me; I don't know internet back in 20212 and only had an unlimited access to it now that I was able to work

To prove what I believed, I tried to draw my own daughter using a reference, her picture that I took earlier that day.

So when I was able to have a phone and a wi-fi connection from work,I studied sketching especially in portraits because it had been my life-ling dream and since I was very enthusiastic about it. I applied what I learned form the video tutorials I learned and had come up with this amazing piece. I really wished I could do better but I realized that every great artist had to start somewhere and I am just glad I was able to start and done this piece.

I thought I did well, it does look close to her but not exactly. now I was thinking it looks more closely than her cousin's face. But despite that result, I still believe that with lots of practice,I will do better one day
