Walk With my Eldest Daughter
Since I was blessed with three kids in just the span of five years after I got married, well, actually I got pregnant before I had my wedding, and the child I had back then was this beautiful young lady that I came to spend my time with in this post. I seldomly spent time with her alone because her younger siblings were the ones that I carry almost every time at home.
Last week, I posted about me being back on the farm where I grew up and I promised to post more of it, and here it is.
Mother told me to call my nephew who drives her to and from the farm but his mother said he has gone to his work already and will not be able to get her from the farm.
Mother's dog, Jackeline, A dog left by its former owner who is the caretaker of the farm, moved to another place and left her to us. My mother loves Jackeline because she protects Mother's chickens from hawks, adopted her. She became pregnant and produced more dogs on my mother's farm. Now she has just given birth to these cute puppies. Good thing there are only two puppies born in her litter this time.
Jackeline does not get jealous when we hold her puppies so Czak made use of the time carrying them not knowing if he can hurt the puppy or not. The puppies look so innocent.
Here are the close-up photos of the innocent puppies. I remembered that moment that I took the puppy from Czak and it pooped, haha. It was gross but still thankful that it was not him who held it while pooping.
Little puppies are sleeping over a bed of rock.
Not far from the house, but we really call it "payag", a small house, a very small house actually, is a tree with lots of yellow flowers. They bloom every October to December, more like an autumn flower. We call it Libres in our locality. It was abundant here because the locals use it as firewood.
Since my birthday is in November, I felt like it was made to bloom for me. I love watching them bloom. they have a very pleasant smell which my sinuses like. hehe. I do not sneeze in its smell, unlike any other smells.
I took a selfie with it.
This is how beautiful it looks from afar. bright yellow flowers are so attractive.
Thick, dark clouds are hovering above and thunders are loud, a signal that we should go home soon. the road can be a bit slippery so we have to make it home before it drops.
We cannot fit all in the motorcycle of my husband so I volunteered to walk my way down the hill to the highway. Then Aelie came with me, which I am so glad that we can spend time alone together.
On the way, we saw lots of pretty flowers from random weeds on the side of the road, and we stop a little to take a photo of it. It was having rain showers already so I covered her head with a sweater.
here are the flowers along the road.
I even got lucky to have captured a flower and an insect at the same time. Amazing.
And came across this beautiful flower and the tree bears lots of fruits. We call this "asuete", and this can be used as a red food coloring.
The flower's color is so attractive. Calling out the lady in me.
The seeds were wrapped in the red material. Some people dry these and sell as red food coloring.
Aelie knew about this already and made it a lipstick. She likes putting make up on but I refrained her from doing it because her skin is till so young and She is beautiful already.
We arrived in the part of the road that can see that distant places. The farthest mountainous parts there is the mountains of Misamis oriental. but I'm not really sure what place it is named, and its raining there.
The rainshowers poured a little heavy that it had begun,I looked up and saw the thick dark cloud is hovering so Aelie and I went on our way faster.
The last parts of the road is the downhill way. Sometimes when it rains, it becomes very slippery. I was so amazed how my daughter can walk straight this road. She is so brave. Oh, time went very fast and I had only few being spent on them.
We even came across this cattle, such an enormous beast. I was scared that it will hurt us so we made our way far from it.
The final part of the walk, the bridge. Sometimes, when Aelie goes with her Wawa, She always say that they went over the bridge, and this is the bridge that she is talking about.
I remember once when the bridge was still not here, and the river rises, A man , I call him Uncle Mawi carries us across. I'm so grateful that he helps us cross the river.
When we arrived at the highway, my husband was already waiting for us. He has his friend with him and they are already talking. He was my husband's amateur boxer trainer when he was still young. Due to the pandemic, boxing events are canceled.
I was so glad we had this walk. Spending such quality time with my daughter and seeing how strong she became sure Made Me Smile.
