Why I'm Done Feeling Guilty for Doing Less
I used to beat myself up for watching a show instead of working, relaxing on a Saturday instead of ticking off my to-do list, or playing a game when I could be getting ahead. I thought anything done just for fun was a waste of time.
Over time I realised rest is not wasted time. It is the soil where ideas, energy, and motivation grow. Just like in any good story, there is the build up, the tension, and then the calm before the action. That pause is not laziness. It is fuel.
Now I let myself sink into those quiet moments without guilt. Binging a show without multitasking? Fine. Skipping the hustle for an afternoon of nothing? Good. When you recharge properly you come back sharper, stronger, and more ready for whatever is next.
What is your favourite way to recharge? A show, a book, a nap, or something unusual like riding a bike at midnight?
