RE: Seize The Means Of Creating Culture

in #revolution7 years ago

Another energised post from you @caitlinjohnstone, hauling awareness up out of the muck, like the lotus flower coming into bloom...Terence McKenna's a great thematic icon for this IMO too!

To add my positive perspective on this: the shift is happening, most of it is hidden from view, but the signs are clear. The biggest stage of the shift is the internal, peceptual/psychological/spiritual one (becoming so utterly fed up with the old, being exposed to the new, seeing it is possible, beginning to take one's power back). But acknowledging it is a problem as of yet - external identity is still so caught up in the Matrix, there is confusion and fear. But there is also a growing readiness just below the surface. There are more and more counter-examples and alternatives that people are being exposed to, as well as themselves being pushed to breaking point by the old system. The external manifestation of change - the 'revolution' - when it comes, will have all the characteristics of the critical mass tsunami, and the old will be swept aside. What replaces it is up to us of course, but IMO, the transition is underway already. The Matrix is upheld through the energies of fear, power, control, greed blah blah, none of which are inherently natural. The collective experience has played with the energies of violent revolution replacing one for a different version; that too is old and obsolete (thought there may be echoes).... this time round it is global (multi-dimensional even :) and we have the inter-web-net (comparable I've heard it convincingly said, to the advent of the printing press in its influence on raising awareness and consciousness). I think it's fundamentally about empowerment, about living and being who we are, identifying the lies we've been told (with courage and honesty) and dropping them! ...which, I think, is pretty much what you are saying too, innit?
