RE: Back to Jersey, The Other Side of the Coin.
RIP, coach. Insert whatever you wished I typed right here. I’m a few decades behind you and have buried well... you know. So, I’m very well aware of the formalities that are typically said at these times and I also understand the reason they’re said—the person saying it doesn’t know what to say.
“I have a vague idea what you’re going through my man.” That’s the one I’m going with.
Thanks for sharing this with us, @thebigsweed, God bless Coach Keenan’s family.
Thanks for caring @dandays. I also feel lost for words in situations like this.
Pete died too young, but not as young as some of our friends that just couldn't control their demons. That's when death is a real tragedy.
My man. After burying the only parent I ever knew at age 37 to losing friends as you described, you’re very welcome for caring (v.e.r.y) and I know in my heart you believe I do. I’m not as seasoned as you are, @thebigsweed, but being so familiar with death isn’t a quality I wish on anyone.
I hope you’re having a great Friday despite this event with an even better weekend on the horizon. Let me know if you need a good laugh or something man.
Cheers, Coach Keenan! Please say hello to my friends, my grandparents, all of my uncles and my mother.
“Somber Day.”
Good morning @dandays. When it comes to @farm-mom and me, you have shown us how much you care since we first met. Both @puravidaville and yourself have been in our corner since we started on this platform. For a couple that we have never met in person, we feel lucky to be able to refer to you as our good friends.
I can't imagine never knowing my dad and losing my mom at such a young age.
to be able to overcome that alone speaks volumes of your character. I know that it has not been an easy road for you, but you persevered. Your mom would be very proud of the man you turned out to be.
God bless both of you. I've been preoccupied since this went down, and I'm looking to get back into a routine.
Peace!
