Yes many times. Silverthorne far less often but my favorite.

It's one of my favorite trip. I just cringe when I have to go over Red Mountain Pass.

to silverton? i am coming from denver so i just go straight from 70, no mountain pass .. unless its the one with the tunnel and i never knew the name? the icy steep one?? :p

Yeah Red Mountain is the icy steep one. If you don't see the white line on the side, it's because it slid down the mountain . The state is working on it to make it safer, but it's narrow and no room for error.

i dunno, i've been around here and traveling around for 2 years every weekend or on many treks with my car and trailer. LOL
Is this on the way to Silverton or Silverthorne? Maybe i should google it.

On the way to Silverton. Depending which side of the state you're coming from. Google Red Mountain Pass it will give you an idea. Absolutely beautiful area. Silverton had the silver mine which they do tours.

Thought they both had silver mines? Now I’m totally confused 😛

Im sorry I didn't mean to confuse you. It's mainly the one of the passes to get there it's an amazing trip but the road itself is dangerous. Yes the both do have silver mines. Silverthorne more know for the outlet mall LOL
