Annual Cherry-Breaker Hash registration is now open
The Cherry Breaker Hash event happens once a year and it is considerably more difficult than our regular events. Participants can expect about a half-marathon of trail running in territory that almost nobody is familiar with. This, if you are tough enough, is an amazing event that normally would be reserved for women only as it is the Bunny Hash's event.
They have decided to leave a certain amount of space open for a certain number of men who want to participate. Be Warned. You will be required to wear silly outfits at the circle afterwards, as is tradition.
This isn't just special because it is longer than normal or that a great deal more planning going into it than our normal runs, but it is also taking place at a rather exotic location near Chiang Mai that is a bit nicer than most of us plebs are accustommed to. It is taking place at the Alpine Golf Resort which other than the golf course itself, is surrounded by thick jungle and national parks. This is perfect terrain for Hashing.
To suggest that this is a bit more upmarket than most of us Hashers are used to would be an understatement and I am just blown away by the pictures I have seen up to this point.

It goes without saying that we will not be running across the course itself and a great deal of care and planning has been put into the event to ensure that we don't interfere with the people who go golf there all day every day.
The run takes place on the 30th of November but people who are interested should get involved early since there is a limited amount of space available.
Despite the really lovely look of the resort involved, room prices are only around $40 a night so that wont break the bank for most people. There is a charge of 1500 Baht (around $40) to pay for the Hash and this includes a transportation to and from the Cherry-Breaker, free drinks at the event itself, a dinner with live music and a 70's themed dance party.
