Chiang Mai Hashers doing events around the world
We have a lot of Hashers that got their start here in Chiang Mai and they will refer to us as their "mother hash." This doesn't mean that they cannot participate in Hash events elsewhere or even join them permanently. You are supposed to remember where you got your start though and a ton of Hashers all over the world consider Chiang Mai to be their "first."
When they do an event somewhere else it is customary for them to send some photos to the group to remind us that it is because of our group that they ever started doing this in the first place.
That is exactly what happened recently as a group of CMH3 people got together in the UK and did a bit of scouting for a future trail.

it is fun to me to see these sorts of things because almost all of my trail running or Hash events have been in South East Asia. So when I see something where people are actually wearing long-sleeves because it is cool in the mornings I am surprised since we almost never need that here.

To me, this terrain is absolutely stunning and while we have our own features here, it is different than this. The world is a big place! It is expected that things are going to be different!

This one in particular is cool to me because that appears to be a castle or some sort of lookout tower up there. We definitely don't have any of that here in Thailand.

If you live anywhere near High Peak, UK, perhaps you know this area. I know that I would love to visit and go on a Hash to a place like this, even if it was a small one.

I don't know what is going on in this picture but it is customary when you take a Hash-pic that at least one Hash shirt is visible in it. I can tell that this is probably "Prison Bitch" and the yellow shirt that he is wearing was from our "Ballbreaker" event back in 2019.
One really great aspect of joining the Hash House Harriers is that the 4 people in these pictures wouldn't know each other if they hadn't joined the Hash. They now keep in touch with each other and plan to meet up to go on hikes and almost certainly, have some beer or at least some lunch afterwards. I feel as though every Hasher I have ever met will be my friend forever and that is true for every Hasher around the world. It's a big club, and you can be in it too! There are 5000 chapters around the world and I once again implore you to see if your area has one. You won't regret it!
On On!
