INGREDIENTS
💚 Chickpeas 💚 Oil 💚 Salt 💚 Cucumber 💚 Coconut 💚 Onion 💚 Tomato 💚 Curry leaves 💚 Mustard seeds 💚 Coraiander leaves
Step1 :
There are many types of chickpeas available, the one I chose for this was white chickpeas. I took 250 grams of white chickpeas and soaked them in water for about eight hours.
Step 2 :
After soaking the chickpeas well, I washed them once in water, then put them in a pot, added enough salt, and boiled them in one liter of water.
Step 3 :
I peeled one onion and cut it into small pieces and kept it aside. Take one chili and cut it into small pieces and keep it aside.
Step 4 :
Took some curry leaves, cleaned them, and kept them aside. I put a pan on the flame and heated it with three tablespoons of oil. Once the oil was hot, I added mustard seeds, chopped onions, chilies, and curry leaves to it and sautéed them.
Step 5 :
After that, I took the boiled chickpeas, drained the water, and added them to the pan and sautéed them.
Step 6 :
After that, I took a cucumber and cut it into small pieces, took a tomato and cut it into small pieces and kept it separately, and took a coconut and grated it and kept them separately too.
Step 7 :
Then I took a bowl and mixed it with roasted chickpeas, grated coconut, chopped cucumber, etc.
Step 8 :
Similarly, I cut the tomato slices and coriander leaves into small pieces and mixed them together.
Step 9 :
After mixing everything well, I took them out on a plate.

Chickpeas are a very special part of our diet, and we usually make them into snacks in the evening. Chickpeas are very healthy and rich in protein, so we usually make them into snacks and serve them to people during our festivals. Similarly, it is our custom to offer chickpeas to the Lord during festivals like Vijayadashami and Ayudha Puja. So I have already made this chickpea salad, and although it is a little different, the ingredients are almost the same.

Chickpeas

It opens the blockage in the veins and improves blood circulation. It provides relief from the problem of high blood pressure.
Cucumber
Consuming cucumbers helps you meet your daily hydration needs and keeps your body refreshed. This is especially beneficial during the summer months, as dehydration is very common. Additionally, cucumbers act as a natural coolant, providing relief from the heat. Detox water made using cucumber and mint improves hydration.
Onion
Onions are the main ingredient in all the dishes cooked in every home. They are used in many dishes by frying them, and in some dishes they are eaten raw as a salad. Onions not only add flavor to the food we cook but also provide health to our bodies. They are low in calories. But they are rich in nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. At the same time, they are rich in fiber, iron, potassium, calcium, folate or folic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, and sulfur.

Apart from the ingredients of the salads given in this competition's post, I have added coconut and also added coconut oil to season them. Coconut oil is nutritious and easy to digest. It is very low in fat. Similarly, the taste of grated coconut increases when eaten with anything.
Similarly, after boiling chickpeas, do not throw away the hot water. They are very nutritious and can be consumed as soup with chopped onions, chili peppers, etc., or made into a rasam and eaten with rice.

I think the one I've always bought from the chickpea seller since I was a kid was the type you were making up to step 5. It's so flavorful, and yet I don't see many ingredients in it. I just knew it was incredibly good back then.
