SLC25-W6 // "Fruit Salad"
Salad is one of those meal that is the best for humans to consume as it helps to repair some cells, help to build immune system, helps in weight management and helps to control some certain dietary.
With this reason I was up to take part in this challenge so as to use this opportunity to consume salad every week for 6 weeks. It wasn't really easy buying this expensive ingredients but then it is nutritious so I challenge myself to do it.
So after reading this week outline, I decided to purchase my ingredients to take part, even though it was challenging seeing some ingredients, I bought them and decided to take part.
Here are my ingredients
- Apple
- Banana
- Watermelon
- Grapes
- Cucumber
- Groundnuts

- Greek yogurt
- Condensed milk
- Orange
Preparation
To the beginning preparing my salad I bought all my ingredients needed and washed them thoroughly as it will be eating raw so the fruits has to be thoroughly washed with salt and white vinegar.
As seen, they are all washed.
Next step, I chopped all the ingredients that need to be chopped and arranged them in the plate as seen below 👇

Next I prepared my dressing with cream and condensed milk. First, I added the cream to the the bowl and whisk consistently till it is thick and foamy then I added the condensed milk and orange then continue whisking until the cream is smooth.
Now in a clean bowl, I added the fruits arranging them layers by layers then I added the groundnut. Then finally added my whipped cream to add flavour and taste to my salad.

My favourite food included in the salad is banana ice so much like banana and the banana flavour in the fruit salad makes me really enjoy it.
Another fruit I enjoyed so much while eating it is the crepes I bought the fresh flashy grapes which makes it so delicious while it's in the fruit salad.
Talking about the health benefit cotton from this fruit oh goodness It is top-notch 100% vitamin C, fibre, vitamin A .
This fruit salad really helps in digestion it also helps in boil movement and most effectively it helps in weight control as it will save as a meal.
It doesn't have a lot of calories making it healthy for anybody to eat.

All this ingredients are available in my area although fruit in my locality is a little bit expensive but you will actually see them anyway you go. So some of this ingredients I have to buy them in kilos then I use the grams that is needed for the contest which make it a little bit expensive.
Grapes is not easily seen and even if it is seen, it is very expensive likewise strawberry the reason is because they are not planted here it is imported.

Giving makes me happy and so I would like to share my fruit salad with @lunasilver the reason I would like to give her this fruit salad is because she usually appreciates my cooking skills and a different recipes of mine.
But then I know that she wouldn't be able to eat and enjoy my recipe very well because it is not her country type of food. So I know that this fruit salad is generally eaten by everyone worldwide so I will like to give her my fruit salad at least something that I produce in my kitchen and I believe she would like it so much and she will cause enjoy our African fruits.
