Thank you @fredikaa, and I completely agree with your advice. I'm planning to fit in some time so that I actually get to read some of the good stuff people post, and to interact with more people on here.

As with most blogs and platforms, it takes some time investment to get an initial set of following and a loyal set of visitors to ones content. But steemit is very unique in its ability to also reward people for being positive and contructive in the comment sections of other people, which again just happens to be the best way to market your own content :)
