RE: #001 Paper discussion – Sugary drinks
Another great post from you @altherion ! I think a lot of people are told early not to drink soda with their meals, but it all falls in the same basket with "all the other things your parents told you not to do". It's cool to get a better understanding as to why that is also a good idea :p
I really like the idea of summarizing and scrutinizing a paper or report here for people to both get the essence of the study, and also the meaning and implications of various details. So I think the idea to do a series of paper discussions is a good one!
Just looking at your number of views etc, I think you would benefit a lot from taking the time to engage a bit more with other writers, follow people you see write good science-related articles (or other topics you like) and let them know that you're following them and enjoying their work. Yours certainly is too good not to be seen by people :)
Thank you @fredikaa, and I completely agree with your advice. I'm planning to fit in some time so that I actually get to read some of the good stuff people post, and to interact with more people on here.
On that note also thanks to @lemouth for recommending the steemit chat.
You're welcome! I just want to see people who do good and original communication on science succeed both on steemit and in general :)
As with most blogs and platforms, it takes some time investment to get an initial set of following and a loyal set of visitors to ones content. But steemit is very unique in its ability to also reward people for being positive and contructive in the comment sections of other people, which again just happens to be the best way to market your own content :)
Steem on!
