World smallest Sitar

Sitar is one of the most popular musical instrument in Indian classical music. At present Anushka Shankar is known all over the world as a great Sitar player.

There are so many theories for the invention of Sitar. One theory is that It's a combination of Persian Sitar and South Indian Veena.Some says it was invented by Fakir Amir Khusro. Some suggest that Sitar derived from Rudra veena.

I like to make clay sculptures. Three years ago I made this thing. It took me fifteen days to complete. Although it is not a real Sitar but it is usefull for home decoration. The strings are not original at all, it is made of yarn. Thats why music Won't come out of it.
