My luck in Share market

Today morning I was having a conversation with a person who is expert in stock market and also does consulting. He was giving me some tips for investment. Honestly, I have never been a fan of stock market investments, the one major reason being that I have never been lucky here. I have always made losses here. Many years back when I had started with my job and started earning. I was trying my luck with stock market investment and whenever I would buy after that the stock would crash down. Even after holding it for years I never made any money out of it. So then I stopped. After a few years I tried again with some solid tips, but again it was the same case. Then I gave up completely.

Then around 3 years back, I again tried my luck, I bought shares of the company where my father had worked. My sister is in the bank and she keeps getting tips, so she advised me to buy. I thought I will take my chance and try my luck. It did turn out lucky for me, the only stock that gave me some profit. But somewhere I was emotional about it, I felt it was my father's blessing on this particular one. He had worked for this company for 42 years and had very high regards for it, I felt it was some kind of magic, he did not want to see me fail especially on this one.

After this, somewhere I felt may be my luck has changed so I invested in other 2 stocks of very reputed companies. It was a very strong tip that I had received, but nonetheless, from the day I bought it the price started dropping down. :-) It's been more then a year now I have been holding it but no luck. And I have decided I will hold it till the price becomes positive, no matter even if it takes forever. I want to challenge my luck this time.

My friends do joke on me saying, please let us know which stock you are buying so that they make sure they are not buying the same.....haha. Today morning when this person gave me the tip on the stock, I am thinking if I should buy it or not. I discussed with hubby and he said wait for a few days since the market is right now high. Let's see, I am going to invest a little amount to try my luck on this one for sure.
