Maybe a strange question but; Did the Maya Calander have a span from approximately 2000 year? I know the theory is that it ended in 2012 but were their years as long as ours? And did they also start counting around our year 0?
I was later also thinking about another superstition; namely what about those pieces of parchment and all the other pieces of paper around the world that makes people think they've got rights and duty's and must obey some group of people that wright these things down with their special magical pen's
Right the Mayan calendar symbolized death, death of a cycle and the entering of the "golden era" age of Aquarius maybe? I didn't know about the pleiades thing though

We didn't, we just arbitrarily chose 2000 years ago when we changed methods of counting time. Which actually happened in 1582 AD. - http://www.history.com/news/6-things-you-may-not-know-about-the-gregorian-calendar
Ok. SO we chose a new method of counting. but why?
My opinion is that it has to do with this shift in planetary consciousness.
