Faith?

in #silentstorm3 months ago (edited)

You might have heard, Singaporeans have apparently decided to stick with the same party, once again. Even when policies and administration have clearly declined in effectiveness, majority of the people placed their faith that their lives will get better with the same party.
I am confused. These are the same people who have been complaining about the lack of support to deal with the racing inflation and the oppression of speech. The same people that agrees the country has become an elitist's playground. That every other person who is not from the upper class struggles to survive and constantly having to play catch-up.
So the question is why does the results show that "majority" is okay with how things are being managed? Am I missing something here or do these people actually believe that the ones they voted for again and again will lead them to their dreams? Or are they settling because they are afraid of change? Where is the line between faith and blind faith?

I want to be in a place where I can thrive, not just survive. Where my voice is heard.

maybe your elections are rigged. A lot of those around the world seem to be that way these days

It's hard not to think that honestly.
