slctextileclub-s23w1 | Basic pattern for women's bloomers

Hello friends and family I hope you are great it's immense pleasure for me to take part in the learning challenges because it's the platform which enables me to learn something productive and useful while staying at home, this week challenge is useful slctextileclub-s23w1 | Basic pattern for women's bloomers.

InShot_20250222_071030810.jpg

For learning the basic pattern of the bloomers I am very thankful to respected professor @beautiful12 who taught in detail and I say she had very good knowledge about the cutting pattern. I have try my best to learn it.

Let's take measurements first, I take my doll shot for this purpose she was sleeping otherwise I take her measurements directly.

How I measure waist circumference

Well in order to take measurements i put tape around the waist as you can see in the picture it's around 50 cm while the navel is considered important in this regard because I most take it's circumference from that point.

Hip circumference

The circumference of the hip is highly important because of it's loose or tight it's not comfortable in wear my doll didn't liked it. I kept the tape and measure taken in cm it's around 60 com as it's visible in the picture too.

Now the Hip height

I measured it from the point of thigh region it's little heavy region of the leg especially.

The Front shot
|
For this measurement it's started from the exactly below the navel and ended in crotch or butterfly region.

IMG_20250221_185057.jpg

Back shot.

For this the backside is taken middle of the navel back and ended at butterfly area.

IMG_20250221_185129.jpg

In the last I am taking the full length by taking it from
For the full waist till the above middle length of the leg.

Now the measurements are as follows for making the pattern.

Butterfly

I calculated by this formula :

Total rise - (front rise + back rise)

50 cm - (18 + 21) = 11

My The measurements are as follows

  • Waist C: 50/4 = 12.5-1= 11.5
  • Hip C: 60-20%= 48/4= 12
  • Hip height: 12
  • Front T: 18
  • Back T: 21
  • Total T: 50
  • Crotch or butterfly: 11

Now I will try to draw the pattern accordingly measurements.

Front Pattern

Before the pattern I draw box with the help of horizontal and vertical lines. As I am going to draw the front side first.

I draw line for front rise that is of 18 cm and marked it A and where it ended label by B. As the hip height is 12 cm and label it with c.

IMG_20250221_193204.jpgIMG_20250221_192558.jpg

Now comes the waist measurement along with pattern as I calculated it as 11.5 after subtract of 1 which I would add in the backside,I draw line from A moved it towards straight horizontal and I put label D.

IMG_20250221_193526.jpgIMG_20250221_193450.jpg

Then the hip circumference measurement which are the 12 and marked with letter F and draw a curved line.

IMG_20250221_193626.jpg

Well for butterfly I take measurements of 3.5 from the region of point B.

Now the half of c is 6 cm I marked it E and here I completed the curve line.

IMG_20250221_193626.jpg

lets work for Back Pattern

In this case I draw box of horizontal and vertical lines, by the marking A and moved towards B.

Hence back shot is 21 cm I measured it and label with letter a and b, then I taken high height that 12, I marked it letter c,
Moreover with the horizontal line for hip circumference the measurements are the 11.5 I marked it letter d. I added 1 here which I removed in front region and added it.

IMG_20250221_194507.jpgIMG_20250221_193840.jpg

I take the lower part b and placed mark at 5.5 it's more than front region and get the point F and added
1 cm I get the point g. I joined the point g to the d with the help of line.

IMG_20250221_195632.jpg

Crotch or butterfly

For butterfly my measurements are 11 I marked it with letter A and added at B.
Well for making butterfly I take measurements of 5 com for backside and added 1 cm and I have united it with curve.

IMG_20250221_195106.jpgIMG_20250221_194731.jpg
IMG_20250221_195223.jpgIMG_20250221_195153.jpg

Then from point A inwards we mark 5 cm of back crotch, to form point C. Then from point C I go down 1 cm and mark with the letter D. Points A and D are joined with a smooth curve.
Hence from point B having measured of 3.5 cm for front butterfly and then united it with curve line.

My final pattern pictures

I am thankful to my professor who teach each and every step and enabled me learning something productive.

I would like to invite my friends @m-fdo, @jannat12 and @mdkamran99 to take part in the challenge.
