Overnight Charging!!! "Will it damage my phone?"

  • Actually 'NO', why? because all smartphones like iPhones and Android phones are built in such manner that it automatically stop charging when the battery attains 100%.

"Is this for Real?"

  • Well, actually 'YES'. For lots of reasons why it is named SMARTphones 'cause these phones are very intuitive to stop charging on their own.

"OK...  so in any circumstances, what will damage my battery?"

  • Great question. SmartPhone batteries have only certain amount of charge cycles or the highest number of times you can charge before it breaks. For us not to weaken your battery life charge cycle, always keep in mind,  Do Not drain your phone's battery to 20% up to 10% or less and then suddenly charging it to 100%. Instead, program your phone to alert you when your battery reaches to 25% so that you have ample time to find a way to charge it.

"Can you recap it?"

  • Sure thing, always remember:
  1. Charging your phone overnight is okay.
  2. Don't drain your battery to the point lower than 20% and then charge it to 100%. This will definitely destroy your battery.
  3. Always bring a battery pack with you at all times.
  4. And don't forget to read the user manual before using the product.

Great tip. I'm always sceptical to charge overnight and do it during the day because of the reason it would damage my battery. Glad to know I don't have to worry about it ;)
