The damages social media can make
The recent Coldplay incident of the Astronomer CEO getting caught on the camera with his collègue has been giving out insane responses. Following to that there are so many memes of all those famous celebrity couples who have fallen out of marriage for another person. I just feel this is getting a little crazy.
Some people say they should have kept their private life private and not made a public display, to an extent it is right, but still it is their life and who knows what's the real reality behind the closed doors with their partners. Cheating on your partner has no justification but still why do people start have to become advocates and start passing judgements on them. No one is saint, everyone has their own flaws, some are open to public and some are hidden. My only take on this is let the couples decide for themselves and let's stop making a mockery of them. People are losing on sentiments and just making mockery out of anything and everything these days. Everything is not for entertainment.
They got caught on camera is one thing, but social media has made it viral, and now almost every household knows of their story. These days this is the reality, if you are famous, nothing is personal, everything goes public and social medial takes good care of it. People are just looking out for new entertainment every day and as soon as something new comes up, it becomes the center of attraction for everyone, as if there is nothing else to do in life.
Not only for famous people, but it can also be threat for common people, it can be for anyone. You never know who is watching you in your awkward moment and how it will surface up to everyone you know. I also heard that this CEO had to resign from his position. Such a sad thing that is. If he has been out in open, it means all his near people and some office colleagues must be knowing about it and no one raised concern then, but just because he is caught, now everyone has a problem with him. It's so rightly said, innocent till not proven guilty.
I just find this thing a little bizarre and blown out of proportion. Realistically we all know that most of these people have affairs out of marriage, but when caught the whole world becomes godly and start judging them. These companies have their policies and actions will be taken on them, but then why does the whole world need to speculate about it and make mockery. Thanx to social media, now he is the most famous person in the world at this point of time.
