I'm not even against socialist (or even communist) societies as long as they let anyone opt out.

The problem with socialism and Marxist communism, which is mainly the one that is being talked about, is that it is internationalist in character, they do not want to leave anyone outside their frontier of governmental influence.

Seems like a sweeping statement there. Many are militantly evangelistic, but there are sensible people who want to build community-level voluntary communes. They don't get press though.

Yes, but I refer to socialism and communism that has a "Marxist" character.

Marx: A few astute observations of real problems, a lot of confusion about the economic situation in his day, a lot of misguided diagnoses of the causes, and a terrible prescription for solutions. But it sounds so good to the gullible!
