RE: Political Correctness- Has It Gone Too Far?
I have litearly been having this kind of conversation with people on steemit for the past couple of weeks. even got into it last night on air on the Pirate waves over on the PAL network.
I think a fundamental issue is a lack of understanding of the meaning of words. People having such adverse reactions to even having a discussion on particular topics has conditioned us into treating these subjects as completely taboo, they should NEVER be spoken of. In turn this has made us completely ignorant to the nuances of what constitutes "offensive".
I fear humanity is headed down the path of Idiocracy.... and only independent thought can save us.

Much love in your direction

The silent majority often fear being vilified and attacked physically if they object to political correctness. This is a reality in public places far too often.
Thank you for the upvote, as yet I havent read the instructions on how to incentivise or how to reward others. I have been waiting to get some posts on the blog before I venture too far into the water.
i would argue that we have had the thought police infiltrate our minds and condition us all to feel as though it is "wrong" to discuss or even think about what is "offensive". This process has made clear understanding of what is offensive and why near impossible to define, so we are all in fear of being offensive as we don't know what is or isn't offensive PLUS we are scared to ask. Its an incredibly clever way to keep hoomanity divided... and we take the bait hook, line and sinker every time we get triggered ;)
if you would like to find like minded people i highly recommend installing Discord and joining the communities mentioned above. not only will you find people which are on the same path , but your account will grow, as will your rewards, blogging skills, etc. tthe greater part of the steemit platform is the communities. i look forward to seeing you there sometime in the future :)
Yes I think I should be more social and join some groups
look me up when you get there :)
