Is former Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida telling the truth when he says that "Nintendo seems to be losing their identity and Switch2 is no different from other companies?"

Shuhei Yoshida, former president of Sony Entertainment Worldwide Studios, said: "It seems to me that Nintendo is losing their identity. In the past, they have always created amazing new experiences through collaborative design of hardware and games. But Switch 2, as you might expect, is just an upgrade to Switch-bigger screen, stronger processor, higher resolution, support for 4K and 120 frames…They even let the hardware guys start the presentation, which is no different from what other platforms do."

The former PlayStation executive further noted that Switch 2 does this in a way that is no different from other companies. He added that if the player's primary gaming platform is Nintendo, it's great to be able to experience a game like Elden's Ring for the first time on Switch 2. But for core gamers with multiple platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, PC), they look forward to Nintendo's own games rather than third-party porting.
