India wins the Asia cup finals

I am not much in to sports but this is one game that interests me, which is Cricket, and especially if India gets to the finals it gets interesting to watch. The final match was in Dubai, but it did not feel like it was in Dubai. The amount of Indian crowd present at the stadium just made it feel like it was being played back home in India. Also this is the only sport that India is very good at, and hence the whole nation has high expectations from them on every game.

It was nerve wrecking till the end and the opponents gave a tough fight, it was not an easy win for India. At many points it felt like India will lose the game. In the beginning itself they lost couple of wickets and that put them under too much stress, and till the end that stress remained, because there were not many overs at hand left. Both the sides India and Pakistan played average, I guess it was also the weather that was affecting the game, there was too much humidity. Sometimes I only wonder how these players play in such conditions. Me doing 1 hour activity outdoors in this weather I feel dehydrated and here they are playing an intensively hectic sport for so many hours.

Anyways it feels a joy that the team won the finals and got the Asia cup home. Throughout the tournament they have been playing well, a big kuddos to them on that. There are many sports that India participates in at global level, but they do not perform well and it is always a disappointment. But when it comes to cricket, all eyes are on them to do nothing but to win. We had thought that we all friends would come together and watch the match, but then Sunday being the working day and first day of the week for us, it got tedious for some, so we all saw at our individual homes and sharing our own running commentary on our common whatsapp group, which was all so much fun.

A proud moment for the whole country.
