COACH DWANE CASEY GETS JOB WITH PISTONS ON A 5 YEAR DEAL
The Raptors were looking towards advancing further in the playoffs. And it seemed to them that Coach Dwane Casey was not the man to take them there. This led to Casey being sacked.
However, days after losing his coach, the now ex-Raptors coach got a new job with The Pistons.
Casey was hired on Monday by the Pistons who are hopeful that he can help the team reach the postseason on a regular basis, and possibly push them to begin competing for titles once again.
Owner of the Pistons, Tom Gores noted that the NBA coach of the year finalist was one of the highly respected coaches and one of the most successful in the league.
Further extolling his capabilities, Gores noted that Casey was a great leader and a fine communicator who is capable of accelerating the growth of the team.
Reports from The Pistons have it that the new head coach has already began work and by next week, he will be introduced at a news conference.
