Don't miss this hidden gem of a town when you're in the South of France 🇫🇷
As a nostalgic person, I’m easily stirred by sights that evoke emotions, and I love revisiting old places. The feeling of revisiting is like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen in a long time.
Arles is a town in the South of France I’ve visited five times. Every time I go, I wander around the town—sometimes following the places that appeared in Van Gogh’s paintings, sometimes tracing the traces of the ancient Romans’ lives.
Arles is home to one of only six well-preserved ancient Roman amphitheaters in the world. Here, we can always feel the blend of two historical periods separated by thousands of years: ancient Rome and the Middle Ages.
I wonder if there’s anyone else who loves the South of France and enjoys revisiting old places like me?
