SteamFest 2018 Tasmania Australia. Part 5
The next part of the SteamFest 2018 Tasmania Australia. I hope you enjoyed the first, second, third and fourth parts and continue to enjoy this next installment of our past history.
SteamFest located in Sheffield Tasmania brings history to life with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, steam train rides, pioneering skills such as blacksmithing, historic machinery like traction engines, steam powered threshers and rock crushers showing how things were done in the past, including vintage cars, tractor pulling competition, old wares for sale etc.
I will endeavour to bring SteamFest to you through photography. I hope you will enjoy following me along for the day at SteamFest. This will be a multi post edition. Thank you for looking.
Howard four wheel drive tractor.
Lykamobile. This is a modern steam car built around 2011 fueled by diesel they come as a kit.
My Grandfather grew up driving teams of horses. He told me the first Cat he saw he jumped on and never got off it. He was a Cat skinner, building logging roads for many, many years. He described that first Cat to me and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Cletrac Model F, certainly something similar. Thanks for posting and resteeming me. That really helps.
Wow that would have been some hard work for him. Thanks for resteeming some of my post to.
You really like the trains
I love the Cletrac model F and the first traction engine. They are both cool. Thanks for the great work posted and thanks for sharing.
Attractive event and these machinery looks have an excellent maintenance.
Yes a great event with many well restored machines.
Wow interesting article thanks for always educating us about some machinery that some of us don't even know about.
Yeah! That's true. His a good guy because he puts in great effort and also shares his great work.
My husband would love this. He turns into an excited 12 year old at a steam fair. Last time he rode a steam tractor and a a bit of metal flew off and nearly hit him which probably would have killed him. Lucky it missed - but then again, this means I have to go to more steam fairs 😄😄😄 Just kidding... how could I deny the love of my life a steam fair!
Glad your husband did not get hit on the steam tractor.
I am too! I have kinda gotten quite used to him.
