Steem Atlas Ambassador Bi-weekly Report – October (01-15) 2025

in #steem-atlas19 hours ago

Greetings Steemit Community,

As you see, day by day, Steem Atlas has been progressing well and increasing its popularity. There are numerous initiatives and developments underway in the project, and we receive over 60 posts per day.

This is an exciting initiative designed to create a global travel map powered by the Steem community, developed by the @pennsif.witness team. It allows you to pin locations you love and share information about them. It's essentially a guide to places based on real experiences. Along with the other Atlas Ambassadors, I continued working towards its development through various activities. Eventhough there are a small number of active users from Sri Lanka, over the past few weeks, I’ve been able to stay active in different ways.

As I mentioned in the last reports, Pensif implemented new initiatives for both the community and Steem Atlas Ambassadors. The new verification and delegation systems have been more productive than we anticipated.

Now the @steem-atlas account has grown over 3.39M SP, just within a few months. Users have been holding hands around it. Special thanks to everyone, and I warmly invite more users to support and take part in these initiatives.

Verification of posts and guiding users

The main task I did last two weeks, as usual, was reviewing posts. With the new voting system in place, new posts added to the Atlas map are now reviewed within 24 hours to keep things running smoothly. As many posts are coming daily, we, the ambassadors, are busy attending to them, and are also rewarded for our work thanks to the project initiator, Mr. Pensif.

Since there are fewer posts from Sri Lanka, I have also reviewed posts from countries without ambassadors and my contest entries. I have also supported other ambassadors when they needed help with verifications. In the past two weeks alone, I have checked over 50 posts.

This has helped me learn more about places around the world while also improving my engagement on the platform.

As we aim to reach an outside audience, the accuracy of the details, location, and the standards of the posts are highly considered. So, I checked the pin location through several sources, and review the articles based on these 21 Tips.

There are a few things we considered in the review, and essential guidance and tips were given whenever needed.

As a Community curator

After completing my job as a Community Curator for September, Solaymann and I got the chance to represent the Steem Atlas team for October as well. Two weeks have already over, and we are having a great time supporting the Steem Atlas-related posts that are up to the standard of the project and the Steemit, using the @booming04 account.

Contests

For the promotion of the platform and to get more engagement, I am continuously hosting a contest in the Steem Sri Lanka community. Now it's the 27th edition, and each week I receive a good number of entries from various countries. Here's a detailed report with a number of participants and rewards shared.

Challenge Faced and Final Thoughts

  • Well, even though many users follow our standards, we can still see some posts not following the guidelines, even after the reviews.
So, I suggest everyone follow the 21 Tips and attend to the Ambassador's recommendation ASAP to get a higher grade and votes from the curators.

  • As an Ambassador from Sri Lanka, unfortunately, there are a few users frequently posting on Steem Atlas and overall Steemit. Anyway, I hope the enthusiasm will grow, and I regularly encourage them to share their travel content.

So overall, it was a productive start to the month. I could actively engage in verification, posting, and discussing new strategies and initiatives within the group. I hope the upcoming weeks are even brighter.

Thank you to the Steem Atlas team and the broader Steemit community for the support.
