A NEW CLOTH STORE IN OUR TOWN

Last week I went to a newly opened cloth shop in our town to buy cloth. I am going to write about it in detail here. I hope you like it. A new cloth shop calles "Velavan Silks & redymades" has opened in our town. It is very grand and big. All kinds of cloth are sold here. Since it is the Diwali season, people buy a lot of cloth. So they have chosen this season to open this cloth shop. Therefore, it is expected that more people will come.

Even though the clothing store had opened, work was still going on in it. The work on the display at the front was still going on. Even though the interior decoration was finished, the work of stacking the clothes was still going on. When we went, the crowd was not that big, but since the store was large, people were standing here and there, looking at the clothes.

Upon entering the store, we are greeted by a small child's mane, with dolls arranged beautifully, resembling a family with members, dressed in the latest and most beautiful clothes. The first hall is lined with sarees and matching blouses and ready-made blouses. All of these are women's fabrics, making the hall colorful and beautiful.

The next room is specially decorated for silk sarees and is lined with silk sarees and dresses made of silk. Since it is made of slightly costly fabrics, the hall is decorated very luxuriously and is very beautiful to look at. Since we didn't have anything to buy, we just looked at the display and went to the next section without looking at the clothes. A female mannequin was parked near the room, dressed in a sari, and it was very beautiful to look at.

We had to buy a shirt for my husband and a suit for my son, so we went to the men's section. There were signs for adults and children. They had the largest collection of fabrics. There were dress materials and ready-made fabrics for men. Shirts were arranged separately in different sizes and price-wise in separate sections. Their designs were also very elegant and innovative. Similarly, ready-made pants were also arranged separately. Jeans were also arranged separately. Clothes like blazers and jackets were also displayed.

In the children's section, ready-made fabrics for children were displayed on one side and jeans and t-shirts on the other side. T-shirts were displayed on hangers in the hall. They were arranged separately according to size with different types of fabrics.

I had taken a sample t-shirt as I asked for my son's size. I showed it and told him that I wanted to wear the same size. They showed us a lot of clothes, shirts, collar shirts, t-shirts, and fancy shirts. I really liked one of them, and my husband liked it too. Even though my husband liked it, I had to buy it only if I liked it. So I took the t-shirt I liked and picked up a matching pair of pants.

Then I went to the men's section and told my husband to buy clothes. They showed me a lot of fabrics. My husband liked many of them, but I didn't buy them all. I asked him to choose just one and try it on. He also tried it on and said that he liked it. So we chose that. Then we cut the band accordingly. Since the readymade fit was not right for him, we bought a piece of fabric that could be tailored.

We left all these in our shopping cart and from there we went to the women's section. I thought I wanted to buy a chuditar or salwar suit and asked them to show me some. They said readymade and showed me a lot. They were kept in separate sections, low and high priced. They were also kept in sections according to the types of fabrics, i.e. cotton, wool, polyester, synthetic silk. There were also fabrics like embroidered ones and some were kept separately according to the designs of the fabrics. For example, they said chuditars were kept in different ways like anarkali and I looked at them all. They showed me a lot of fabrics.

I was looking at everything without knowing what to buy and what to leave. The sales girl of the store who showed me the fabrics was a little embarrassed to show me the fabrics again and again, but since we were beginners, she showed me the fabrics. However, I did not feel like taking any fabric. I asked her to show me the fabrics because I still wanted to see the fabrics. They showed me again and again.

Finally, I selected two salwar suit dresses and took them for trial. I went to the women's trial room and tried them on. Both of them suited me. I felt that one of the fabrics had a small defect, so I discarded it and chose another one. I tried it on and showed it to my husband. He also liked it, so we selected the same one. Its price was around 750. Then we took all the accessories and went to the billing section. While we were there, there was a section for girls. We also looked at them. There were a lot of fabrics there. I really liked them.

After that, we paid the bill amount for the clothes in the billing sections. Then I checked the bill. Then the price of the clothes was written on the bill. The price of the t-shirt was 350 rupees and the price of my husband's shirt was 750 rupees. This made me feel that the price was very reasonable when comparing other clothes at clothing stores.

Apart from accessories, the clothing store also had other clothes, such as towels, bed sheets, vests, and dresses. We looked at them all a little. Since Diwali was coming up in a few days, we decided that we could buy the clothes we needed for Diwali here.
